About Us

Common Nature was founded in early 2026 and is governed by a volunteer board of seven directors, with backgrounds spanning research and practice, policy, law, governance, First Nations leadership, nature restoration, and health.

Our constitution permanently designates a First Nations Leadership Director position on the board, reflecting the central place of First Nations knowledge and leadership in Australia's relationship with nature.
